Rain soaps were first created in 2003 and were the result of a desire to create a pure, classic vegetable based soap that can be used by men and women.We worked closely with a wonderful, family-owned company in Franceto develop a formula that embodies pure ingredients, quality production, and amazing fragrances.We spent countless hours scouring the finest fragrance producers in Europe to find the purest essential oils to add to the soaps.The end result is a 250 gram bar of triple milled soap, densely packed and chock full of wonderful ingredients like shea butter and olive oil, with pure essential oils added for varying degrees of fragrance.Rain soaps lather generously, rinse cleanly, and last for months at a time, not days. We then searched to find beautiful Italian paper to speak for the character of each Rain fragrance, visually describing the fragrant beauty within each bar.Finally, we hand wrap each bar and finish it off with a simple yet elegant ribbon at our atelier in beautiful Litchfield County, Connecticut.We believe wholly that great soap is not a luxury, rather, a necessary indulgence.

The five original fragrances of Rain were introduced in 2003, with three additional fragrances added in 2006.The lineup includes something for everyone:
·Black Forest Inspired by the rich, rugged terrain of the Black Forest, the fragrance includes notes of cinnamon, sandalwood, clove and musk.Created specifically with men in mind, this is a top seller to both men and women. ·Bombay Vanilla We searched far and wide until we came across this particular vanilla essence from a very small producer.Rich, exotic and sensual - this one is unmatched. ·French Lavender The scent of Provence from us to you.Wildly aromatic lavender in its purest form, this is one of our most popular soaps.
·Georgia Cotton Created with inspiration from hot sunny days in the South, this is a clean, crisp fragrance and one of our best sellers. ·Midnight Flowers A 2006 addition to Rain, Midnight Flowers is inspired by the scent of a humid summer night in the South, where a fragrant garden bouquet of lily, jasmine, orchid, magnolia and hyacinth blend into one. Truly spectacular. ·Olive Tree Our only unscented soap. Made with over 20% pure olive oil.This is a true luxury bar in the French Marseille tradition. Ideal for dry or sensitive skin. ·Tuscan Cypress Inspired by the aromatic trees that grow abundantly in Tuscany, we add a hint of cypress to this soap for a lightly scented experience.
·Verbena A classic, boldand zesty fragrance that fills up the entire bath.Loved by men and women, even George Washington used a verbena scented soap! A best seller since its introduction in 2006.
